Our Love Story...
It was a regular day, on a late February afternoon in East Sandwich, Massachusetts. Liana was working her usual Tuesday shift at The Lavender Moon, a gift shop for whimsical and mystical trinkets, and Dan was doing typical daily errands. Dan had been living upstairs from the gift shop for months in the small Cape Cod style building. It was this day that fortune would smiled upon both of them. Out of his adventurous spirit and the memories of his mother being a frequent customer of the gift shop, Dan decided to see what the store had to offer on that soon never-to-be-forgotten day.
When the door sounded, Liana glanced up from her work, it was then that their eyes met and they genuinely fell in love (<Insert cheesy comment here>). It was an unexpected moment, something out of a fairy-tale. Dan is still searching to understand why he walked into that shop in the first place that day; but they both received the best gift of their lives: Love at first sight. Liana was perched on a stool behind the counter surrounded by a halo of Christmas lights that were strewn all over the store. She was wearing a black and white striped sweater, her hair was down and her eyes were as big as the moon. Dan had long hair tied up in a sumo knot; he had a beard that was bushy and unkempt but Liana couldn’t help but feel a natural pull towards this stranger. The only thing that mattered to them at that moment was each other’s eyes. His ocean blue and hers irresistibly brown; there was no turning back, their love story had begun.
Life quickly turned into a whirlwind; after just one date the two were inseparable. Since they met, Liana and Dan have lived in Hyannis, Seattle, and Los Angeles. They got a doggie together (griffin!), love traveling and having adventures together.
Last June the couple went for a dream vacation to the island of St. John, USVI where Dan decided to pop the big question. Since that first day in February, three years before, they both knew that what they had was rare. It was something that Dan knew he wanted for the rest of his life. It was their first night on vacation and the restaurant was one of the most beautiful on St. John. It overlooked the crystal clear water where small islands scattered the horizon. As the sun went down, the time came; Dan got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and said, “I Love You”. Liana knew this was a special ring and began to cry with joy. Although, clearly, Dan’s nerves had gotten the best of him, he forgot to ask “will you marry me?” The two already knew, in their hearts, that they were destined to be together.
because we are hopeless romantics, we will be seeing very little of each other the week before the wedding... if we dont die from this seperation, it is sure to make the walk down the aisle even more special.
